To truly understand different perspectives, one must engage in active listening. This means more than just hearing what the other person is saying; it requires a deep level of attention and focus. This not only helps clarify any misunderstandings but also shows the other person that we value their input. Another important aspect of active listening is asking clarifying questions. This shows that we are interested in learning more about the other person's perspective and are willing to engage in a dialogue to gain a better understanding. By asking open-ended questions, we encourage the other person to elaborate on their thoughts and feelings, further enhancing our comprehension of their viewpoint.- Active listening is a crucial skill for understanding different perspectives.
