Seeking closure from "summary" of Wild by Cheryl Strayed
Closure is a tricky thing. We spend so much time searching for it, craving it like a drug that will finally bring us peace. We think that once we have closure, everything will be better, that we can finally move on with our lives. But the truth is, closure is not always easy to come by. It's not something that can be neatly packaged and tied up with a bow. In my own journey of seeking closure, I realized that it's not about getting answers or finding resolution. It's about learning to accept things as they are, even when they don't make sense. It's about making peace with the past and letting go of the need to control every outcome. Closure is a process, not a destination. It's about facing the pain and the uncertainty head-on, and allowing yourself to feel all of the emotions that come with it. It's about being vulnerable and open, even when it's uncomfortable. For me, closure came not in the form of a grand revelation or a dramatic moment of clarity. It came in the small, quiet moments of reflection and acceptance. It came in the moments when I allowed myself to be still and present, and to simply be with my own thoughts and feelings.- And learning to let go of the things that no longer serve us. It's about embracing the messiness of life and finding beauty in the imperfections. And ultimately, it's about finding peace within ourselves, no matter what may come our way.
