Many people have learned from an early age to hide their true feelings and put on a mask of stoicism or positivity, even when they are suffering or struggling internally. This inability or unwillingness to authentically express emotions can have a profound impact on our health. When we deny our emotions or pretend that everything is fine when it's not, we are essentially betraying ourselves. This betrayal can manifest in physical symptoms and illness.
