Education is a right that every person on this planet should have access to. It is not a privilege reserved for a select few, but a fundamental human right that should be guaranteed to all. When individuals are denied education, their potential is stifled, their opportunities limited, and their voices silenced. This is especially true for girls, who are often the first to be denied the right to education in times of conflict and crisis. In my own experience, I have seen how powerful education can be in transforming lives. When I was shot by the Taliban for speaking out about the importance of girls' education, I could easily have given up. But instead, I chose to fight for my right to learn and to advocate for the rights of all girls to receive an education.
