In my life, I have faced many obstacles that could have easily deterred me from my goals. From being born a slave to facing discrimination and prejudice, I could have succumbed to the difficulties that came my way. However, I quickly learned that determination is the key to overcoming any obstacle that stands in your path. When I was a young boy, I witnessed the determination of my mother, who was determined to see her children receive an education. Despite the challenges and hardships she faced as a slave, she never wavered in her belief that education was the key to a better life.
