Stop comparing yourself to others from "summary" of Unfu*k Yourself by Gary John Bishop

You're not like anyone else. No one is like you. There's no one in the world who has your unique blend of experiences, thoughts, beliefs, and quirks. So why in the hell would you compare yourself to someone else? It's like comparing apples and oranges - it just doesn't make any sense. When you compare yourself to others, you're setting yourself up for failure. You're putting yourself in a no-win situation. Either you come out on top and feel smug about it, or you come out on the bottom and feel like crap. Neither outcome is healthy or productive. You are who you are, and that's all you can be. It's time to stop looking over your shoulder at what other people are doing and focus on your own path. Your journey is unique to you, and it's up to you to make the most of it. Comparing yourself to others only serves to distract you from your own goals and dreams. Instead of wasting time and energy comparing yourself to others, use that energy to better yourself. Focus on your strengths and work on your weaknesses. Set goals for yourself and take steps to achieve them. Be the best version of yourself that you can be, not a second-rate version of someone else. Remember, you are the only person who can live your life. You are the only person who can reach your full potential. So stop comparing yourself to others and start living your life on your own terms. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve when you stop looking over your shoulder and start looking ahead.
