Communication breakdowns lead to misunderstandings from "summary" of Twisted Love by Ana Huang

Communication breakdowns can cause a lot of problems in any relationship. When people don't communicate effectively, misunderstandings can easily arise. In "Twisted Love," this concept is illustrated through the interactions between the main characters, Ellie and Leo. Ellie and Leo both have their own insecurities and fears, but instead of talking about them openly, they keep them bottled up inside. This lack of communication causes tension between them and leads to misunderstandings. For example, when Ellie sees Leo talking to another girl, she immediately assumes the worst without giving him a chance to explain himself. Similarly, Leo misinterprets Ellie's actions and words because he doesn't take the time to ask her what she really means. Instead of discussing their feelings and concerns with each other, they let their assumptions guide their actions, which only serves to drive them further apart. The more Ellie and Leo avoid talking about their issues, the more misunderstandings pile up between them. These misunderstandings create distance and resentment, making it even harder for them to connect with each other emotionally. In the end, communication breakdowns not only lead to misunderstandings but also prevent Ellie and Leo from truly understanding each other's thoughts and feelings. Without open and honest communication, their relationship is doomed to fail.
