Darkness looms from "summary" of Twisted Games by Ana Huang

The world was coated in shadows, the darkness stretching out like a living thing, swallowing everything in its wake. Its presence was suffocating, pressing down on me like a heavy weight, wrapping around me like a shroud. It loomed over me, a formless entity that seemed to pulse with malevolence. I could feel it creeping closer, inching its way into my thoughts and my heart. It whispered dark promises in my ear, tempting me with its seductive allure. It promised power and freedom, but at what cost? The darkness was a living, breathing thing, a force to be reckoned with. It was not content to merely exist in the shadows, lurking in the corners of my mind. It wanted to consume me, to claim me as its own. I could feel its tendrils reaching out, curling around me like icy fingers. It whispered of secrets long buried, of desires long suppressed. It promised me everything I had ever wanted, but I knew that its gifts came with a price. As the darkness loomed closer, I knew that I had a choice to make. I could give in to its seductive whispers, let it consume me whole. Or I could stand strong, face it head on, and fight back against its insidious influence. But the darkness was relentless, and I knew that the battle would not be easily won.
