Unexpected friendships form from "summary" of To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
In real life, unexpected friendships form all the time. Sometimes people who are very different become friends. It's one of my favorite things about life. I think it's because of that old saying, 'opposites attract'. Josh Sanderson and I were friends because of Margot, but now that Margot was gone, I didn't know what would happen. A big part of me thought we would drift apart, but I didn't want that. I liked Josh. He was the only one who had been there from the beginning. He was the only one who knew about my crush on him. He was the only one who knew that I had written him a love letter. It felt good to have somebody else in on my secret. It made it less of a burden. Unexpected friendships form all the time in the most unexpected places. Sometimes it's somebody you've known for years who you never thought of in a romantic way, and then suddenly, you do. And the more you think about it, the more you start to see that maybe the person you're meant to be with has been standing in front of you all along. I never would have thought that Peter Kavinsky and I could be friends, let alone something more. He was too popular, too cool, too everything. But then we started fake dating and something shifted. We started to see each other in a different light. We started to see the real person underneath all the labels and expectations. It's funny how unexpected friendships form. It's like the universe has a way of bringing people together, even when they seem like the least likely pair. And maybe that's the beauty of it all - finding connection in the most unexpected places, with the most unexpected people.Similar Posts
