According to this theory, the universe began as a singularity, a point of infinite density and temperature, approximately 13.8 billion years ago. At this moment, all matter and energy were concentrated in this single point.
As the singularity expanded, it cooled and began to form the basic building blocks of matter, such as protons, neutrons, and electrons. These particles eventually combined to form atoms, which in turn clumped together to create stars and galaxies. Over billions of years, these galaxies continued to move away from each other as the universe expanded.
