Courage can overcome fear from "summary" of The Ultimate Harry Potter and Philosophy by William Irwin,Gregory Bassham

In the magical world of Harry Potter, fear is a powerful force that can paralyze even the bravest of individuals. Throughout the series, characters such as Harry, Ron, and Hermione are constantly faced with terrifying situations that evoke fear in their hearts. Whether it be facing off against a deadly basilisk or standing up to the dark wizard Voldemort, fear is a constant companion for our heroes. However, what sets the characters in Harry Potter apart is their ability to tap into their courage in the face of fear. Courage, as defined by Aristotle, is not the absence of fear, but the ability to act in spite of it. This is perfectly exemplified in Harry's character, who time and time again steps up to confront his fears and protect those he loves. One of the most poignant examples of this is when Harry willingly sacrifices himself to Voldemort in order to save his friends. Despite the overwhelming fear he must have felt in that moment, his courage shines through as he makes the ultimate selfless act. Courage, therefore, is portrayed as a transformative force in the Harry Potter series. It has the power to overcome fear and enable individuals to rise above their circumstances. By embracing their courage, characters are able to conquer their inner demons and face their fears head on.
