Dreams may not always come true from "summary" of The Sight of You by Holly Miller
Life is full of dreams, isn't it? We all have them, those hopes and aspirations that keep us going, that give us something to strive for. We hold onto them tightly, like precious treasures, believing that if we work hard enough, if we want them badly enough, they will come true.
But what if they don't? What if, despite all our efforts, despite all our longing, our dreams remain just that - dreams? What then? It's a harsh reality to face, isn't it? To come to terms with the fact that sometimes, no matter how much we want something, no matter how hard we try, it just isn't meant to be.
It's a bitter pill to swallow, the knowledge that our dreams may not always come true. We invest so much of ourselves in them, so much of our time and energy, that to have them slip through our fingers is a devastating blow. We're left feeling lost, adrift in a sea of shattered hopes and broken promises.
And yet, perhaps there is a lesson to be learned in all of this. Perhaps it is in the not having, in the unfulfilled longing, that we truly come to understand what it means to dream. For isn't it in the reaching, in the striving, that we find our purpose, our passion, our reason for being?
So maybe, just maybe, our dreams not coming true is not the end of the story. Maybe it is simply a new beginning, a chance to dream again, to reach for something even greater, even more magnificent. Maybe, in the end, it is the journey that truly matters, not the destination. And maybe, just maybe, that is where we find our truest selves.
