Let go of attachments from "summary" of The Secret of Secrets by Osho

Attachment is a barrier that prevents your growth, your enlightenment. Attachment is a bondage, a slavery. It is a way to remain stuck in the past, clinging to memories, people, things, ideas. When you are attached, you are not free. You are bound by your desires, your fears, your insecurities. You are unable to live in the present moment, to fully experience life as it is, without any distortions. Letting go of attachments does not mean that you have to renounce everything and become a recluse. It simply means that you need to be aware of your attachments and understand the impact they have on your life. When you cling to something, you are creating suffering for yourself. You are living in a state of constant craving, always wanting more, never satisfied with what you have. Attachment is a source of suffering because it creates expectations, and when those expectations are not met, you feel disappointed, frustrated, angry. When you let go of attachments, you are able to accept life as it comes, without trying to control or manipulate it. You are able to flow with the river of existence, without resistance. Letting go of attachments requires courage and trust. It requires you to surrender to the unknown, to the unpredictable. It requires you to have faith in yourself, in the universe, in the divine. When you let go of attachments, you are able to see things as they are, without any distortions. You are able to perceive reality in its totality, without any filters. Letting go of attachments is a process, a journey. It is not something that happens overnight. It requires patience, persistence, determination. It requires you to be present, to be aware, to be mindful. When you let go of attachments, you are able to experience true freedom, true liberation. You are able to live authentically, without any masks, without any pretense.
