Lily witnesses acts of kindness and compassion from strangers from "summary" of The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd

Throughout the novel, Lily is exposed to numerous instances of strangers displaying kindness and compassion towards her. These acts of generosity often come unexpectedly, catching Lily off guard and challenging her preconceived notions about the world and the people in it. Despite being strangers, the Boatwright sisters show Lily and Rosaleen unwavering kindness and compassion, treating them like family from the moment they arrive. As Lily spends more time with the Boatwright sisters, she witnesses firsthand the way they interact with the people in their community. From assisting a grieving mother to standing up for a mistreated child, the sisters consistently demonstrate a deep sense of empathy and understanding towards those around them. These acts of kindness not only have a profound impact on the recipients but also leave a lasting...
