Adrian Mole starts keeping a diary from "summary" of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3⁄4 by Sue Townsend
I have decided to write a diary. Not just any diary, mind you, but a secret diary. A diary that will contain all my innermost thoughts and feelings. I feel like I am living in a world where no one understands me. My parents are always fighting, and Pandora, the love of my life, seems to be oblivious to my existence. Writing in this diary will be my way of expressing myself without fear of judgment. I have chosen a red notebook for my diary. It seems fitting, as red is the color of passion and intensity. And I am nothing if not passionate and intense. I will write in it every day, chronicling my life as a teenager in the small town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Maybe one day, when I am famous, this diary will be published, and the whole world will know the inner workings of my brilliant mind. I have already made my first entry. I wrote about how my parents are always arguing about money and how it makes me feel like I am a burden to them. I also mentioned my unrequited love for Pandora and how I long for her to notice me. It felt good to put all my thoughts down on paper, to release them from the confines of my mind. I will be diligent in my diary-keeping. I will not skip a day, no matter what happens. This diary will be my confidante, my best friend. It will listen to all my rants and raves, my joys and sorrows. And maybe, just maybe, it will provide me with the clarity and insight I so desperately seek in this confusing world. So here I am, embarking on this new journey of self-discovery and self-expression. Who knows what adventures await me in the pages of this diary? All I know is that I am ready to face them head-on, armed with nothing but my trusty red notebook and my indomitable spirit. Let the diary-keeping begin!Similar Posts
