Martin Luther's NinetyFive Theses from "summary" of The Reformation by Diarmaid MacCulloch

In the autumn of 1517, a relatively unknown monk named Martin Luther posted a document on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. This document, known as the Ninety-Five Theses, outlined Luther's grievances with the Roman Catholic Church and its practice of selling indulgences. Luther's main argument in the Ninety-Five Theses was that salvation could not be bought with money, but rather was a gift from God that could only be received through faith. He challenged the authority of the Pope and called for a return to the teachings of the Bible as the ultimate authority in matters of faith.
