They suggest that the verses can be interpreted in various ways and that the scientific explanations are often based on selective readings of the text. Critics also point out that some scientific statements in the Qur'an are vague and open to interpretation.- Others argue that its primary purpose is spiritual guidance. Ultimately, the interpretation of Qur'anic verses in relation to science is a matter of personal belief and understanding.
