Humility and modesty from "summary" of The Qur'an by
Humility and modesty are qualities that are emphasized in The Qur'an as essential for a believer to possess. These qualities are seen as virtues that bring one closer to Allah and help to maintain a sense of humility and gratitude towards Him. The concept of humility is rooted in the recognition of one's own limitations and weaknesses, as well as an acknowledgment of the power and greatness of Allah. By being humble, a person is able to accept their own imperfections and shortcomings, and to seek forgiveness and guidance from Allah. Modesty, on the other hand, is about not being boastful or arrogant, but rather showing restraint and humility in one's actions and words. It is about recognizing one's own worth without feeling the need to flaunt it or seek validation from others. Modesty is also about being respectful towards others and treating them with kindness and compassion. By practicing humility and modesty, a believer is able to show gratitude towards Allah for His blessings and to maintain a sense of humility in the face of success and praise. The Qur'an teaches that humility and modesty are qualities that are pleasing to Allah and that are rewarded in the Hereafter. By being humble and modest, a believer is able to cultivate a sense of inner peace and contentment, as well as a deep connection with Allah. These qualities also help to foster a sense of community and brotherhood among believers, as they encourage mutual respect and kindness towards one another.- Power, and status, the concept of humility and modesty as taught in The Qur'an serves as a reminder to believers to focus on what truly matters in life. By practicing these qualities, a believer is able to remain grounded and focused on their faith, and to seek the pleasure and approval of Allah above all else. Ultimately, humility and modesty are qualities that not only benefit the individual believer, but also serve to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood within the Muslim community.
