The allure of power is intoxicating, seducing even those with the purest of intentions. It can creep into the hearts of individuals, wrapping its tendrils around their desires and clouding their judgment. In "The Power," we witness how power can transform individuals, turning them from benevolent beings into ruthless dictators. It is a gradual process, almost imperceptible at first, but gradually gaining strength until it consumes its host entirely. As the characters in the novel gain access to their newfound abilities, we see a shift in their personalities.
