Release resistance to what is from "summary" of The Power of Now Journal by Eckhart Tolle

When you resist what is, you are essentially saying to the present moment, "I don't want this. I don't like this. I don't accept this." This resistance creates inner turmoil and suffering because it creates a gap between yourself and what is happening. It is like trying to swim against the current of a river - it only exhausts you and takes you further away from where you want to be. Releasing resistance means accepting the present moment as it is without judgment or resistance. It means surrendering to what is, acknowledging that it is already here and there is nothing you can do to change it. This doesn't mean you have to like or approve of what is happening, but simply acknowledging its presence allows you to be at peace with it.
