Release resistance to what is from "summary" of The Power of Now Journal by Eckhart Tolle
When you resist what is, you are essentially saying to the present moment, "I don't want this. I don't like this. I don't accept this." This resistance creates inner turmoil and suffering because it creates a gap between yourself and what is happening. It is like trying to swim against the current of a river - it only exhausts you and takes you further away from where you want to be. Releasing resistance means accepting the present moment as it is without judgment or resistance. It means surrendering to what is, acknowledging that it is already here and there is nothing you can do to change it. This doesn't mean you have to like or approve of what is happening, but simply acknowledging its presence allows you to be at peace with it. By releasing resistance to what is, you are allowing yourself to be fully present in the moment. You are no longer fighting against reality but flowing with it. This acceptance brings a sense of peace and stillness within you, as you are no longer in conflict with the present moment. When you release resistance, you are able to see things more clearly and respond to them with clarity and wisdom. You are no longer clouded by negative emotions or judgments, but are able to approach the situation with a sense of calm and presence. This allows you to make better decisions and take appropriate action, rather than reacting impulsively out of resistance and fear. Releasing resistance to what is doesn't mean you are giving up or being passive. It means you are choosing to let go of the inner struggle and resistance that only causes suffering. By accepting what is, you are opening yourself up to new possibilities and opportunities that you may not have seen before. It is a powerful practice that can transform your relationship with the present moment and bring peace and clarity into your life.Similar Posts
