Trusting God's plan is essential in prayer from "summary" of The Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian

Trusting God's plan is essential in prayer. When we come to God in prayer, we must trust that He knows what is best for us. This means surrendering our own plans and desires to Him and being open to whatever He has in store for us. It can be tempting to try to manipulate situations or rush ahead of God's timing, but when we trust in His plan, we can rest in the knowledge that He is in control. Trusting God's plan also requires faith. We may not always understand why things are happening the way they are, but we can have faith that God has a purpose and a plan for everything. This means believing that even in our darkest moments, God is working all things together for our good. It means trusting that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Prayer is not just about asking God for what we want; it is also about aligning our hearts with His will. When we trust in God's plan, we are acknowledging that He knows what is best for us, even if it is not what we would have chosen for ourselves. This requires humility and a willingness to let go of our own desires in favor of God's perfect will. Trusting God's plan in prayer also means being patient. God's timing is not always our timing, and we must be willing to wait for Him to work things out according to His plan. This requires a deep sense of trust and a willingness to surrender our impatience and frustration to God.
  1. Trusting God's plan in prayer is an act of surrender and faith. It requires us to let go of our own agendas and trust that God's plan is always better than anything we could come up with on our own. When we trust in His plan, we can pray with confidence, knowing that He is always working for our good, even when we cannot see it.
