Summer is over from "summary" of The Pistachio Prescription by Paula Danziger
I blinked. I blinked again so I could see. The air grew cooler and the days shorter. I realized it was true. Summer was over. The time had flown by in a blur of sun and fun. But now, it was time to face the reality. No more lazy days by the pool or late-night bonfires on the beach. It was time to say goodbye to the carefree days of summer. I felt a pang of sadness in my heart. How could it be over so soon? I longed for just a little more time to soak up the warmth of the sun and the freedom of the long summer days. But I knew deep down that all good things must come to an end. It was time to embrace the changing seasons and all that they would bring.
As I looked out at the world around me, I saw the signs of autumn creeping in. The leaves on the trees were beginning to change colors, turning from green to red and gold. The air smelled of crisp apples and pumpkin spice. The days grew shorter, and the nights grew colder. It was a bittersweet reminder that time marches on, no matter how much we wish it would stand still.
But as I watched the world transform around me, I felt a sense of hope begin to bloom in my heart. Yes, summer was over, but that meant a new chapter was beginning. A chapter filled with cozy sweaters, hot cocoa, and the promise of new adventures. I knew that while the carefree days of summer may be behind me, there were still plenty of memories to be made in the days ahead. And so, with a smile on my face and a twinkle in my eye, I stepped forward into the next season, ready to embrace whatever it may bring.
