Writing as catharsis from "summary" of The Periodic Table by Primo Levi

Writing, for me, has always been a way to release the thoughts and emotions swirling inside my mind. It is a process of purging, of letting go of the burdens that weigh me down. Each word I write is like a weight lifted off my shoulders, a step toward clarity and understanding. In my darkest moments, when I felt lost and alone, writing was my lifeline, my anchor to reality. It allowed me to make sense of the chaos within me, to find meaning in the senselessness of life. Through writing, I am able to confront my fears and anxieties, to explore the depths of my soul without reservation. The act of putting pen to paper is a cathartic experience - a cleansing of the mind and spirit. It is a way for me to confront my demons, to exorcise the ghosts that haunt me. Each word I write is a battle won, a victory over my inner turmoil. In the process of writing, I am able to confront painful memories and traumatic experiences that I have long suppressed.
