In this work, I have diligently chronicled the various creatures that inhabit the countryside of Selborne. Through patient observation and keen insight, I have sought to illuminate the habits and behaviors of the local wildlife, from the smallest insects to the largest mammals. One of the most fascinating creatures that I have had the pleasure of observing is the humble field mouse. These tiny rodents can be found scurrying about in the fields and hedgerows, their nimble movements a testament to their agility and adaptability.
