It is not just a physical act of rebellion, but also a mental and emotional refusal to accept unjust conditions. It is the embodiment of hope in the face of despair, the refusal to bow down to the forces of oppression. In my journey across South America, I witnessed the various forms of resistance that people employed against their oppressors.
