Let go of judgments and opinions, simply observe and accept from "summary" of The Miracle of Mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hanh

When we practice mindfulness, we are encouraged to let go of our judgments and opinions. Instead, we are invited to simply observe and accept whatever is happening in the present moment. This may sound easy in theory, but in practice, it can be quite challenging. Our minds are often filled with thoughts and ideas that color our perception of reality. We are quick to label things as good or bad, right or wrong, without truly taking the time to understand them for what they are. By letting go of our judgments and opinions, we create space for a deeper level of awareness. We are able to see things as they truly are, without the distortions of our preconceived notions. This allows us to be more present in each moment, fully engaged with whatever is unfolding before us. When we are able to observe without judgment, we are better able to respond to situations with clarity and compassion. Acceptance is a key component of mindfulness practice. It is about acknowledging and embracing whatever is happening, without trying to change it or push it away. This does not mean that we passively resign ourselves to our circumstances; rather, it means that we approach them with an open heart and a willingness to learn from them. Acceptance allows us to cultivate a sense of peace and equanimity, even in the face of challenges. When we let go of our judgments and opinions, we free ourselves from the burden of constantly evaluating and critiquing everything around us. Instead, we are able to appreciate the beauty and complexity of life in its purest form. This shift in perspective can be transformative, leading to a greater sense of connection and harmony with the world around us.
