Challenge limiting beliefs and selfdoubts from "summary" of The Mindset of Success by Jo Owen

Many of us are held back by our own doubts and fears. We have limiting beliefs that tell us we are not good enough, smart enough, or capable enough to achieve our goals. These beliefs can be deeply ingrained in our minds, picked up from childhood or past experiences. They create a barrier between us and our true potential, preventing us from taking risks and reaching for our dreams. To break free from these limiting beliefs, we must challenge them head-on. We need to question the validity of these beliefs and examine the evidence that supports them. Are they based on facts or just assumptions? Have we tested these beliefs in real-life situations, or are they simply holding us back out of fear? One way to challenge limiting beliefs is to gather evidence that contradicts them. We can look for examples of times when we have succeeded, overcome challenges, or achieved something we thought was impossible. By focusing on these successes, we can start to build a new narrative about our abilities and potential. Another strategy is to reframe our thinking. Instead of viewing challenges as threats, we can see them as opportunities for growth and learning. By shifting our perspective, we can turn self-doubt into self-empowerment and use it as fuel to propel us forward. It's also important to surround ourselves with positive influences and supportive people. By seeking out mentors, coaches, or friends who believe in us and our potential, we can start to internalize their belief and use it to counteract our own self-doubt. Challenging limiting beliefs and self-doubts is not easy. It requires courage, self-awareness, and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zone. But by taking small steps every day to challenge these beliefs, we can start to chip away at the barriers holding us back and unlock our true potential.
