We didn't talk for two weeks. When we finally did, we both apologized. I said I was sorry for being distant. You said you were sorry for being busy. We laughed, and it felt like we were back in the beginning. It was a rekindling of sorts. It's funny how distance can make you appreciate someone more. When we were apart, I realized how much I missed your voice, your laughter, your presence.
