Overcoming obstacles together from "summary" of The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan
We have faced many obstacles together. Some were small, like the time you forgot the tickets to the concert. I waited in line while you rushed back home to get them. Others were bigger, like when we had to decide whether to move to a new city for your job. We talked for hours, weighing the pros and cons. There were times when we disagreed on how to tackle a problem. I wanted to confront it head-on, while you preferred to avoid conflict. But we always found a way to compromise, to meet in the middle. It wasn't always easy. There were moments of frustration and doubt. But we never gave up on each other.
We learned to lean on one another when things got tough. When I was struggling at work, you were there to offer support and encouragement. And when you faced a personal crisis, I did everything I could to help you through it. We became each other's rock, our refuge in the storm.
Through it all, we grew stronger as a couple. Our bond deepened with each challenge we conquered together. We became a team, united in our determination to overcome whatever came our way. And in the end, we emerged victorious, stronger and more resilient than ever before.
