Emotions are not good or bad, they simply are from "summary" of The Language of Emotions by Karla McLaren

Emotions are not good or bad, they simply are. This is a fundamental concept that we must understand in order to navigate our emotional landscape with clarity and compassion. Emotions are not moral judgments, they are messengers that carry important information about our inner world. When we label emotions as "good" or "bad," we create unnecessary conflict within ourselves. By accepting that emotions are neutral, we can begin to explore their messages without judgment. Each emotion serves a purpose and has its own unique wisdom to offer. When we resist or suppress certain emotions because we perceive them as negative, we deny ourselves the opportunity to learn from them. All emotions are valid and deserve to be acknowledged and expressed. When we deny or repress our emotions, we block the flow of valuable information and create inner turmoil. Embracing all of our emotions, regardless of how they may feel in the moment, allows us to fully experience and process them. It is important to remember that emotions are not permanent states, they are fleeting experiences that come and go. By allowing ourselves to feel and express our emotions without judgment, we can move through them with greater ease and grace. Emotions are not something to be feared or avoided, they are an integral part of the human experience. In order to truly understand and honor our emotions, we must cultivate a sense of curiosity and openness towards them. By approaching our emotions with a sense of curiosity, we can learn from them and grow in ways we never thought possible. Embracing the full spectrum of our emotions empowers us to live authentically and connect more deeply with ourselves and others.
