The idea that dreams are the fulfillment of wishes is a central concept in my work on dream interpretation. I believe that every dream, no matter how strange or nonsensical it may seem, can be traced back to a desire or wish that the dreamer holds deep within their unconscious mind. This wish may be something simple and straightforward, like the desire for a glass of water when one is thirsty, or it may be more complex and deeply buried, such as a repressed childhood desire for love and acceptance from a parent. In order to uncover the true meaning of a dream, one must first understand the wish that it is attempting to fulfill. This wish may not always be immediately obvious, as dreams have a way of disguising their true intentions behind a veil of symbolism and metaphor.
