Innovation comes from collaboration from "summary" of The Innovators by Walter Isaacson

The idea that innovation is born out of collaboration is a central theme in the stories of the key figures highlighted in 'The Innovators'. Each of these innovators, from Ada Lovelace to Bill Gates, did not work in isolation but instead thrived in environments where they could exchange ideas, challenge each other, and build upon one another's work. Take, for example, the collaboration between Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace in the mid-19th century. Babbage, a mathematician and inventor, conceived of the Analytical Engine, a mechanical computer that was far ahead of its time. However, it was Lovelace, with her mathematical prowess and vision, who saw the potential for the machine to do more than just crunch numbers. She wrote the first algorithm for the Analytical Engine, making her the world's first computer programmer. Similarly, the development of the internet was the result of collaboration between countless individuals and organizations over several decades. From its humble beginnings as a military research project to its current form as a global network connecting billions of people, the internet's evolution was mad...
