Ignorance leads to suffering from "summary" of The Holy Science by Swami Sri Yukteswar

When man is ignorant of the laws of nature, he invariably causes harm to himself and others. This ignorance leads to suffering, as it disrupts the harmony and balance that is inherent in the universe. By acting without knowledge or understanding, man creates chaos and disorder in his life. When man is unaware of his true nature and purpose, he becomes lost and confused, leading to inner turmoil and emotional distress. This lack of self-awareness causes him to make poor choices and engage in destructive behavior, ultimately resulting in suffering and pain. Ignorance also breeds fear and insecurity, as man is unable to see the bigger picture and understand the interconnectedness of all things. This narrow perspective leads to a limited worldview and a sense of isolation, further exacerbating his suffering. Only through knowledge and wisdom can man overcome his ignorance and transcend his suffering. By seeking to understand the laws of nature and his place within the cosmic order, he can align himself with the divine will and experience peace and fulfillment. It is only through self-realization and spiritual enlightenment that man can break free from the cycle of suffering and attain true happiness and contentment. By expanding his consciousness and opening his heart to the truth, he can overcome his ignorance and live in harmony with the universe.
