When we approach meditation and mindfulness practice with a mindset of releasing expectations, we are essentially allowing ourselves to let go of any preconceived notions about how things should be. This means we are not trying to force a particular outcome or experience, but rather we are open to whatever arises in the present moment. By being with the present moment, we are fully engaged with what is happening right now, without getting caught up in thoughts about the past or future. This allows us to experience a sense of presence and awareness that can bring a greater sense of peace and clarity to our lives. When we let go of expectations and simply be with the present moment, we are able to cultivate a sense of acceptance and non-judgment towards ourselves and our experiences. This can help us to let go of any feelings of stress, anxiety, or frustration that may arise when things don't go as planned. Being present in the moment allows us to fully experience life as it unfolds, rather than getting caught up in worries or regrets. This can lead to a greater sense of gratitude and appreciation for the simple moments of joy and beauty that are present in our everyday lives.
