Think about it. When a friend makes a mistake, do you berate them endlessly and criticize their every move? Of course not. You offer them words of encouragement and support. So why do we treat ourselves any differently?Self-compassion is about recognizing that we are human, that we are not perfect, and that it's okay to make mistakes.
