Model a growth mindset for your students through your own actions and attitudes from "summary" of The Growth Mindset Coach by Annie Brock,Heather Hundley

One of the most powerful ways to cultivate a growth mindset in your students is to exemplify that mindset yourself. Your own actions and attitudes serve as a model for how to approach challenges, setbacks, and learning opportunities. When you demonstrate a growth mindset in your own behavior, you show your students that it is possible to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and persist in the face of obstacles. Your students are constantly observing and learning from you, whether you realize it or not. They look to you as a role model for how to navigate the ups and downs of learning and growth. By approaching challenges with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, you set an example for your students to do the same. When they see you responding to setbacks with resilience and determination, they are more likely to adopt a similar mindset in their own lives. It's important to be mindful of the messages you are sending to your students through your words and actions. If you approach challenges with a fixed mindset, your students may internalize that perspective and struggle to see the value in making mistakes and learning from them. On the other hand, when you approach challenges with a growth mindset, you show your students that learning is a process that involves effort, perseverance, and a willingness to take risks. Remember that cultivating a growth mindset is an ongoing process that requires practice and reflection. Be honest with your students about your own struggles and failures, and share with them how you have overcome obstacles by embracing a growth mindset. By modeling this mindset in your own behavior, you can inspire and empower your students to approach learning with curiosity, resilience, and a belief in their own potential.
