Unconventional parenting methods from "summary" of The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
In the Walls family, parenting was far from conventional. Rex and Rose Mary Walls raised their children in a nomadic lifestyle, moving from place to place in search of work and a place to call home. They did not believe in traditional education, opting instead to homeschool their children and encourage them to pursue their own interests and passions. This unconventional approach to education meant that the Walls children were often left to their own devices, learning important life skills through trial and error.
