Boy seeks help from police from "summary" of The Girl in Room 105 by Chetan Bhagat

Keshav called the police. He had never done that before. He had seen his fair share of trouble over the years, but calling the police was a whole new level of desperation. He knew he had to do something. He couldn't just sit there and do nothing. He needed help, and the police were the only ones who could provide it. As he waited for the police to arrive, Keshav paced back and forth in his tiny apartment. He glanced nervously at the clock, willing time to move faster. When the knock finally came at the door, he felt a sense of relief wash over him. It was time to tell his story, to lay out all the facts and hope that someone would listen. The police officers were professional and efficient. They listened to Keshav's account of what had happened, asking questions here and there for clarification. Keshav felt a sense of validation as he spoke, as if finally someone was taking his concerns seriously. After he had finished telling his story, the police officers exchanged a look. Keshav couldn't quite read their expressions. Were they skeptical of his story? Did they believe him? He held his breath, waiting for their response. Finally, one of the officers spoke. He assured Keshav that they would do everything in their power to help him. Keshav felt a surge of gratitude towards these strangers who had shown up at his doorstep in his hour of need. He knew that he had made the right decision in calling the police. As the officers left his apartment, Keshav felt a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that the road ahead would be difficult, but at least now he had someone on his side. He had taken the first step towards finding a solution to his problem, and that gave him a glimmer of hope for the future.
