When we make assumptions, we believe we know what others are thinking, feeling, or intending. We assume we understand their words and actions based on our own interpretations and beliefs. But the truth is, our assumptions are often far from reality. We create a whole story in our minds without any concrete evidence to support it. And this can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts with others. When we assume, we are not in the present moment. We are living in the past, projecting our past experiences onto the present situation. We are letting our fears and insecurities dictate how we perceive the world around us.
