Eddie encounters his former love, Marguerite from "summary" of The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom

Eddie saw her before she saw him. Marguerite was tending to a bed of roses, her hands working deftly, her back turned toward him. He stood there for a moment, taking in the sight of her, the way the sunlight caught in her hair, the way she moved with a certain grace that he remembered so well. It had been years since he last saw her, since the accident that had torn them apart. He had carried the weight of that loss with him ever since, the guilt of not being able to save her, of not being able to hold her one last time. And now, here she was, in front of him, as beautiful as ever. He took a tentative step forward, his heart pounding in his chest. Would she recognize him? Would she remember the love they once shared? He cleared his throat, calling out her name. She turned then, her eyes meeting his, and for a moment, there was silence between them. And then, she smiled. It was a sad smile, tinged with memories of a past that could never be reclaimed, but it was a smile nonetheless. She walked toward him, her hands reaching out to touch his face, as if making sure he was real. And then, they were wrapped in each other's arms, holding on as if they would never let go. They talked then, about the years that had passed, about the pain and the heartache, about the love that had never truly died. They spoke of forgiveness and redemption, of letting go of the past and embracing the present. And as they stood there, surrounded by the beauty of the garden, Eddie knew that he had finally found peace. Marguerite kissed him then, a gentle, lingering kiss that spoke of all the words left unspoken between them. And in that moment, Eddie knew that he was where he was meant to be, with the woman he had loved so deeply, in a place where time had no meaning and where love was eternal.
