Factions are natural to human nature, arising from the diversity of opinions and interests inherent in society. However, while factions may be inevitable, their presence poses a significant threat to the stability and well-being of a republic. Factions, by their very nature, tend to pursue their own interests at the expense of the common good. They often prioritize their own agendas over the greater good of the nation, leading to division and discord within the political system.
