The best way to teach kids how to handle conflicts is to show them how it's done. Children are like sponges, soaking up everything they see and hear. So if you want your child to learn how to resolve conflicts in a healthy way, you need to demonstrate that behavior in your own interactions. One important thing to keep in mind is that conflicts are a normal part of life. It's not realistic to think that you can avoid them completely. What's more important is how you handle those conflicts when they arise. Do you yell and scream? Do you shut down and refuse to talk? Or do you approach the situation calmly and rationally, looking for a solution that works for everyone involved?
