The only truth that might be possible for man to attain is that which he can realize in his own existence. It is a truth that must be lived, a truth that must be enacted. And this brings us back to the concept of ambiguity. Ambiguity is a fundamental aspect of human existence. It is the state of being in which man is both a conscious subject and an object for himself. This duality gives rise to a constant tension, a perpetual struggle between freedom and facticity. In confronting their own ambiguity, the individual must come to terms with the fact that they are both free and constrained by their circumstances. They must acknowledge that they are the authors of their own actions, yet also subject to the limitations imposed by their situation. This recognition is essential for the individual to take responsibility for their choices and to act authentically. To confront one's own ambiguity is to confront the inherent conflicts and contradictions that define human existence.
