Dreaming about future aspirations from "summary" of The Diary of A Young Girl (Deluxe Hardbound Edition) by Anne Frank

When I write, I can shake off all my cares. My sorrow disappears, my spirits are revived! But, and that's a big question, will I ever be able to write something great, will I ever become a journalist or a writer? I hope so, oh, I hope so very much, because writing allows me to record everything, all my thoughts, ideals and fantasies. I haven't worked on Cady's Secret for ages. I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and I've drawn up a new outline. But I can't start writing until I've got the right ideas clear in my head. I'm going to start right away. I simply can't build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder, which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquility will return again. In the meantime, I must uphold my ideals, for perhaps the time will come when I shall be able to carry them out. I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.
