Accept that creativity can be messy and unpredictable from "summary" of The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp,Mark Reiter

Creativity is not a tidy process. It does not always follow a linear path, neatly laid out with clear instructions to follow. In fact, creativity thrives in chaos, in the messiness of trial and error, of experimentation and exploration. It is unpredictable, constantly evolving and shifting in unexpected directions. When we accept this messiness and unpredictability of creativity, we free ourselves from the constraints of perfection and control. We allow ourselves to embrace the unknown, to take risks and make mistakes. It is through this process of trial and error that we discover new ideas, new perspectives, and new ways of thinking. Creativity is not a destination, but a journey. It is a continuous process of discovery and growth, of pushing boundaries and challenging norms. And in this journey, there will be times of frustration and confusion, of setbacks and failures. But it is through these struggles that we learn and grow, that we find our way forward. By accepting that creativity can be messy and unpredictable, we open ourselves up to infinite possibilities. We become more adaptable, more resilient, more open to change. We learn to trust in our instincts, to follow our intuition, to embrace the unknown with courage and curiosity. And in doing so, we unleash our true creative potential.
