The ruling class controls the means of production from "summary" of The Communist Manifesto and Other Writings by Karl Marx,Friedrich Engels

The capitalist class, or the bourgeoisie, owns and controls the means of production in society. This includes factories, machines, raw materials, and other resources necessary for producing goods and services. By controlling these means of production, the bourgeoisie also controls the labor of the working class, or the proletariat. Through their ownership of the means of production, the ruling class is able to exploit the labor of the working class for their own profit. The bourgeoisie pays workers a wage for their labor, but the value of the goods and services produced by the workers exceeds the value of their wages. This surplus value is appropriated by the capitalist class, leading to the accumulation of wealth and power in the hands of a few. The unequal distribution of wealth and power in society is perpetuated by the capitalist system, which prioritizes profit over the well-being of the working class. This results in a cycle of exploitation and oppression, where the ruling class maintains their dominance by keeping the working class in a state of economic dependency and insecurity. In order to challenge the power of the ruling class and create a more just and equitable society, Marx and Engels argue for the abolition of private property and the establishment of a socialist system where the means of production are owned collectively by the workers. This would eliminate the exploitation of labor and allow for the redistribution of wealth and power in society. By understanding how the ruling class controls the means of production, we can begin to see the underlying mechanisms of inequality and exploitation that characterize capitalist societies. Only by challenging the dominance of the bourgeoisie and transforming the economic system can we hope to create a more just and equitable world for all.
