Capitalism leads to exploitation and oppression from "summary" of The Communist Manifesto and Other Writings by Karl Marx,Friedrich Engels

Capitalism, as a system based on private ownership of the means of production, inevitably leads to the exploitation and oppression of the working class by the capitalist class. The bourgeoisie, or the capitalist class, seeks to accumulate wealth and power at the expense of the proletariat, or the working class. This exploitation is inherent in the capitalist mode of production, where the bourgeoisie extracts surplus value from the labor of the proletariat, enriching themselves while keeping the working class in a state of poverty and dependence. The capitalist system is characterized by the commodification of labor, where workers are treated as mere commodities to be bought and sold in the labor market. This dehumanization of labor reduces workers to mere cogs in the capitalist machine, devoid of autonomy and agency. The capitalist class exploits this power dynamic to extract as much labor as possible from the working class, paying them wages that are far below the value of their labor. As a result, the working class is forced to sell their labor power in order to survive, perpetuating their exploitation and oppression. This creates a cycle of poverty and alienation, where workers are trapped in a system that benefits the capitalist class at their expense. The bourgeoisie wield their economic and political power to maintain their dominance over the working class, using the state and other institutions to perpetuate the status quo. The inequality and injustice inherent in capitalism are not incidental, but rather integral to the system itself. The capitalist mode of production is predicated on the exploitation of labor, and this exploitation is essential to the accumulation of wealth and power by the bourgeoisie. As long as capitalism remains the dominant economic system, exploitation and oppression will continue to be pervasive in society, perpetuating a system that benefits the few at the expense of the many.
