The capitalist system, by its very nature, creates a division between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The bourgeoisie, or the ruling class, own the means of production and accumulate wealth through the exploitation of the proletariat, or working class. This unequal distribution of power and resources leads to a widening gap between the rich and the poor, exacerbating social and economic inequality. Under capitalism, the pursuit of profit drives competition among capitalists, leading to the consolidation of wealth and power in the hands of a few. The bourgeoisie exploit the labor of the proletariat to maximize their profits, paying workers wages that are insufficient to meet their basic needs. This exploitation further entrenches the divide between the capitalist class, who amass wealth through the labor of others, and the working class, who are left to struggle for survival.
