Right understanding leads to right thought and action from "summary" of The Buddha and His Dhamma by Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar

The Buddha taught that the foundation of right thought and action is right understanding. Without a clear and accurate understanding of the nature of reality, it is impossible to cultivate wholesome thoughts and behaviors.
