Right understanding leads to right thought and action from "summary" of The Buddha and His Dhamma by Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar
The Buddha taught that the foundation of right thought and action is right understanding. Without a clear and accurate understanding of the nature of reality, it is impossible to cultivate wholesome thoughts and behaviors. Right understanding involves seeing things as they truly are, free from delusion and ignorance. It requires a deep insight into the true nature of existence, the impermanence of all phenomena, and the interconnectedness of all beings. When we have right understanding, we are able to discern the causes of suffering and the path to liberation. This understanding allows us to let go of attachments, cravings, and aversions that cause disharmony and conflict. With right understanding, we see the world with clarity and wisdom, and we are able to respond to situations with compassion, kindness, and equanimity...Similar Posts
